Excursion Programs

JNTT has aninclusive experience in excursion program for students and youth groups in Tanzania particularly northern part of the country where there is an abundance of cultural and ecological potentials. It is a program whereby students from various universities and colleges and youth groups from various institutions abroad would explore the opportunities ranging from research/studies to recreation. The following are the most common experiences:

Cultural program

This includes visits to local communities to explore their traditional housing, food, dressing, storytelling and dancing. This is normally done in the Maasai community which is a worldwide known tribe due to its fascinating and unchanged culture. Other tribes are the Wameru located at the slopes of Mount Meru and the Datoga – hunters and gatherers in Yaeda valley along the great rift valley.  This also includes homestay which is a well-organized program which offers an eye-opening opportunity to clients to learn the lifestyle of the local people, participate in daily activities, social gatherings, cattle herding (in Maasai community), home chores including cooking, washing, cleaning etc. Homestay time is planned according to clients’ choice/objectives and budget. 

Ecological program

Tanzania is endowed with beautiful natural ecosystems rich of both flora and fauna that make attraction and unforgettable moments to visitors. The program is planned according to your choice from research/study to recreation. The common sites are The Mazumbai Forest Project (www.mazumbaiforest )located at the West Usambara Mountains in the Eastern Arc Mountain range, Mount Longido, protected areas such as national parks (TANAPA), Ngorongoro Conservation Authority Area (NCAA) and other interested natural ecosystems.

Social program

JNTT offers astupendous experience in tailor-made activities which are planned to meet clients’ desire in reaching the local communities and share experiences and careers. This includes but not limited:

    • To engage with local community members in development project such as building infrastructures in schools, dispensaries/health centres, water projects, etc
    • To engage with local schools and share experience in teaching and sports, support educational and sports materials whenever necessary,
